Our Founder

Carol Matibiri is the Founder and Managing Director of CZW Events and a seasoned Event and Marketing Specialist with over two decades of international experience. Zimbabwean by birth and Australian-trained, Carol holds a degree in Event Management and has spent 18 years abroad honing her craft across Australia, Europe, the USA, and now Southern Africa—where her heart firmly lies.

With a career spanning 21 years, Carol has successfully delivered a wide spectrum of events, from luxury weddings and social celebrations to corporate functions, large-scale expos, and international events—including serving as a Venue Manager for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.

A wedding enthusiast “from birth,” Carol’s work is driven by passion, precision, and purpose. Her exposure to diverse global markets has refined her eye for detail, creative flair, and commitment to service excellence.

Today, she is deeply passionate about positioning Africa as a premier destination for weddings and special events, blending her strategic marketing expertise with her exquisite event management flair to create immersive, world-class experiences that celebrate the beauty, culture, and hospitality of the continent.
